A Small Poster and a Forgotten Key: Keys 1952 - 1954
It wasn’t until I was documenting the keys in Bobbing for Answers that I realized I’d missed a key that was discretely hidden on another key…pretty sure I just forgot I moved it there. Rather than go back and renumber things I’ve gone out of the order of creation for Key 2152. Losing count of the keys is somewhat all too common when I have a lot of keys (and other) projects on the go. On the plus side, I figured out that it’s better to grab images of individual keys from the original digital design than it is to increase the photo size (which, frankly, just makes a lot of the image blurry).
I really like the expressiveness of these next keys and am happy with how they looked after going through some filters and photo adjustments. I decided to tell a bit of a story with these ones. The background is a photo I took of a light that changes colours. It’s fun making these digital designs. There is a bit of extra satisfaction when I can use my own photos as background. Eventually I will learn to draw digitally and incorporate more techniques into this work.
